Welcome to the UNBS blog!
The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) this year is celebrating 30 years of standardization in line with our mission which is “to provide standards, measurements and conformity assessment services for improved quality of life.”
Throughout the 30 years and in fulfillment of our mission, UNBS has been able to develop and promote the use of standards in the protection of health and safety of consumers and the environment against substandard products while ensuring improved competitiveness of locally manufactured products.
Over the years we have had in place a website and social media platforms where we often publish information to help you understand our services and assist you to comply with standards. This blog will complement that effort and it will serve as a platform where you will get firsthand about the work we do in formulating and enforcing standards in Uganda. It is designed to promote two-way communication and engagement with our experts.
You will get to learn from industry experts and get specific insights into success stories of those who have adopted standards in their work and improved their business.
This blog will take a deep dive into the confusing technical language about standards in a way that helps you to better understand the subject matter. The blog will also feature multimedia products such as videos, photos, etc, to showcase the work we do.
Your feedback is important to us. Please take time to send us comments and ideas on topics you would like us to cover.
We look forward to growing with you as we embark on this new journey.
Thank you for stopping by!
