UNBS employees cautioned against corruption

Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) employees have been cautioned against corruption tendencies as they go about their work.

The warning was made by the Manager Certification, Martin Imalingat during a Risk management training at the UNBS headquarters in Bweyogerere.

“Gratification of even 20,000/= is criminal. Gifts above 5 currency points (100,000/=) must be declared.” Imalingat said.

The Uganda National Bureau of Standards has zero tolerance to corruption.

Facilitators from the risk management department sensitized the workers about the different risk categories, how to manage them, financial literacy, critical information from the legal and Human Resource department among others, which will be helpful in achieving the UNBS objective.
