The UNBS Executive Director, Mr. David Livingstone Ebiru shared with the Editors about standardisation and its importance in society, businesses and the economy.

“Standards regulate the safety and quality of products consumed which may have harmful effects on the health and safety of consumers and the environment. Mr. Ebiru said.

“Consuming quality products reduce medical bills and disease burden and therefore improves the quality of life and Standards of Living.” He added.

The UNBS Deputy Executive Director in Charge of Standards, Ms. Patricia Bageine Ejalu, sensitized the media about the role of the Standards directorate while the UNBS Deputy Executive Director in Charge of Compliance sensitized the media about the role of the Compliance Directorate in ensuring fair trade and consumer protection.
